Stellantis, the assembly ratifies the appointment of the CEO Antonio Filosa

ROME – The Stellantis extraordinary shareholders' meeting, held in Amsterdam under the chairmanship of John Elkann, ratified the appointment of Antonio Filosa as the new CEO . Filosa, unanimously chosen on May 28 to succeed Carlos Tavares, already took the reins of Stellantis on June 23, when he presented his team .
"Filosa has demonstrated a great understanding of the company and its future. He has achieved impressive results in every region and role he has held," said the Stellantis chairman, opening the meeting. "Antonio, good luck," added the chairman of the automotive group, of which Exor, which also controls Repubblica , is the largest shareholder. "At a recent town hall, Filosa said Stellantis is in his blood and has always acted accordingly. Along with the entire board of directors, we look forward to working with Antonio and his leadership team to chart a new course with a renewed entrepreneurial spirit and pride in what we can and want to achieve together."
The new CEO "has been deeply involved in identifying dynamic and constructive ways to address with the new US administration how we can collaborate more effectively – added Elkann – on regulatory and tariff policies ."
The extraordinary meeting was attended by 71.53% of the share capital, a higher threshold than required for voting. Filosa's appointment was approved with 99.2% of the votes in favor.
