He exceeded the speed limit three times in a built-up area.

We just wrote about a driver who was driving at 105 km/h in a built-up area in Ligota, with a speed limit of 40. A few days later, on August 14, Trzebnica traffic police officers again spotted a speed pirate in the same town, driving three times faster than the speed limit!

Just after noon, they stopped a bus driver for a road check. He was speeding through a built-up area as if the rules didn't apply to him at all. The police speedometer left no doubt – 118 km/h on the clock, in a place with a 40 km/h speed limit.

Behind the wheel was a 46-year-old resident of the Wrocław district. His behavior can hardly be attributed to haste – it showed a blatant disregard for the lives and health of other road users, including pedestrians and residents who might have found themselves in the path of such a speeding vehicle in broad daylight.

The consequences of this irresponsible driving were immediate and severe: the driver lost his driving license for three months, was fined PLN 2,500, and his account was "enriched" by 15 penalty points.

Police officers are once again reminding us that reckless driving is not a victimless offense. Every such incident poses a real threat to life: to children playing in the garden, pedestrians jaywalking, and other drivers obeying the traffic regulations. Unfortunately, as recent days have shown, even hefty fines and the loss of a driver's license don't deter some from extremely dangerous driving. Photo: Trzebnica Police Headquarters.
