Brazil to Develop Secure Payment Systems for BRICS Community

Brazil, as part of its BRICS presidency in 2025, intends to promote the development of secure payment systems for the community, said President of the South American republic Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
“During its presidency, Brazil intends to develop fully <…> transparent and secure payment systems,” the head of state said during a speech at a meeting of BRICS Sherpas taking place in Brasilia.
The Brazilian leader also called on the countries of the association to increase bilateral trade so that the ties of the community would be even stronger. "The BRICS community has become an engine of positive changes in our countries and around the world," Lula da Silva emphasized. "At the same time, we are faced with the task of increasing coordination [of efforts between the members of the association]."
