No Innovations Foreseeable: Alexey Fomin Talks About How the 2025 State Final Examination Will Be Held for Penza Schoolchildren


Acting Minister of Education of the Penza Region Alexey Fomin spoke at a briefing on February 25 about preparations for the state final examination (GIA) for basic general and secondary general education programs in 2025.
Alexey Fomin noted that no innovations in the conduct of the State Final Attestation are planned. How Graduates of the 11th grade can take exams in 15 academic disciplines, of which the Russian language and mathematics are mandatory. The most popular elective subject remains social science (46.5% of graduates). In second place is computer science (26%), followed by biology (20.5%), physics (19%), history (17%), chemistry (14%), English (9%), literature (6%) and geography (3.6%). Three graduates will write the Unified State Exam in Chinese, the press service of the Ministry of Education of the Penza Region reports.
The early period of GIA-11 will be held from March 21 to April 21, 15 people will take part in it. The exams will be organized at the Provincial Lyceum.
The main period of examinations for eleventh-graders will begin on May 23 and will last until July 4, 2025. It will involve 5,112 people, including graduates of the current year, previous years, students of vocational educational organizations and graduates who have not completed secondary general education. Forty-two points located on the basis of general educational organizations, evening schools and at home will be used to conduct the examinations.
Graduates of 11th grade will be able to retake one subject of the Unified State Exam on July 3 and 4 with the cancellation of the previous result.
Preparations for the 2025 State Final Attestation are proceeding according to plan; all examination points (EP) for the State Final Attestation (GFA)-11 are equipped with online video surveillance, and all EAP-9 examination points (EP) are equipped with offline video surveillance.
On May 14, an all-Russian training exam for schoolchildren will be held. On March 10, the action “Let's Pass Together. Day of Taking the Unified State Exam by Parents” will be held with writing an abbreviated version of the Unified State Exam in basic mathematics. The action is being held to familiarize parents with the procedure for conducting the Unified State Exam.
There are 13,445 ninth-graders registered for the GIA-9. The early stage of the main state exam will be held from April 22 to May 17, the main stage - from May 21 to July 2. 60 PPEs will be open. The OGE is conducted in four subjects (Russian language, mathematics and two electives). The leading elective subjects are social science, geography, computer science. Training events for the PPE GIA-9 will be held on March 26 and April 16.
