Novgorod orienteers confirmed their level in Priozersk

In the Priozersk District of the Leningrad Region, the championship and championship of the Northwestern Federal District in orienteering, as well as the popular traditional competitions "White Nights" have ended. Novgorod athletes successfully performed in all these starts.
In the individual cross-long and cross-classic disciplines among boys under 19, the absolute winner was candidate for master of sports Yuri Bessonov (SShOR "Olimp", SS No. 2).
In the men's competition, Master of Sports Kirill Kapparov (SShOR "Olimp") took 2nd place in the cross-long discipline and won in the cross-classic discipline.
The Novgorod teams achieved success in the relay races: Nikulenkova Yulia, Prokofieva Elizaveta, Tarasova Polina (all SShOR "Olimp") - the girls took 1st place in the category under 17 years old, in the competition among boys under 15 years old Demidov Stepan, Balashov Pavel, Makhnev Mikhail (all SShOR "Olimp") also took 1st place, the second team in this age: Ignatyev Stepan, Nikolaev Ivan, Kasyanov Stepan (all SShOR "Olimp") took 3rd place, losing to the second prize winner by only 3 seconds,
In the competition among boys under 19, Makhnev Dmitry, Ignatyev Artem, Gavrin Alexander (all from the Sports School "Olimp") took 2nd place.
Novgorodians performed no less successfully in the 54th traditional competitions "White Nights", in which the absolute winner was the same Yuri Bessonov, who won in all individual disciplines among young men under 19. Let us add that Yuri (in the photo) is the son of the famous Novgorod orienteer and former chairman of the city council Sergei Bessonov , and continues his traditions.
In the men's competition, Kirill Kapparov took 2nd place in the overall standings. The winner of the "White Nights" in the overall standings in the group of girls under 13 years old was Nadezhda Yemelyanova (SShOR "Olimp"), the winner of the competition among men under 55 years old was Aleksey Klimontov, the winner of the competition among men under 80 years old was Aleksandr Orlov.
