On the White Night of Art, Novgorodians presented the Dialogue Center with a bright heart

The NCCA has been on vacation since the beginning of July – long-awaited, but not at all long-term. On August 1, the first exhibition wave of the new season will open at Dialog, and regular viewers said goodbye to the past one this Sunday at the traditional White Night of Contemporary Art. The material from the online newspaper Novgorod contains a report and announcements of upcoming events. Note that some of them will be held for the first time: for example, the “snake” photo exhibition and a meeting of the book club.
The first hall featured a charity exhibition, “Russian Art. Level 18,” which Novgorodians first saw during the May exhibition wave, and you can read more about it in our article . At the end of the exhibition, guests could once again talk to the owner of the collection, Nikolai Malygin. Then a presentation of the book club project with the humorous name “Chitaki” took place. It should be noted that this is the first time something like this has been organized at the Dialog center.

"There is an ironic word "pisaka" from the word "to write". We got "chitaki" by analogy," explained the author of the project, artist Elena PEVZNER .
This name emphasizes that there should be no place for pomposity or excessive pathos. Anyone can come to the small hall of the NCCA and express their thoughts at their own discretion, the only condition is to read the work proposed for discussion within a month. It is possible that in the future it will be possible to hold meetings with writers, poetry evenings, and other literary events.
The first meeting is scheduled for September 11, and will discuss Hamlet in two translations. Participation in the event is planned to involve a small "donate", or voluntary contribution, with which the organizers will be able to purchase tea and refreshments for a cozy atmosphere at the meetings.
Another announcement opens the door to the future exhibition wave: the famous Novgorod animal photographer Andrey Kotkin told about the exhibition "Snakes are waiting!" and even presented a small part of the photographs in the presentation. Despite the natural human fear of creeping creatures, the bright snakes from various corners of the world in the master's photos can be called fascinatingly beautiful. And in some places - even cute, not at all compatible with the swear word "scoundrel".

However, the word previously, as Andrey Kotkin noted, did not have a negative connotation at all. This was the name given to all land vertebrates, except for animals and birds: not only snakes, but also frogs and lizards.
At the end of the event, a musical gift was presented by the duet of Igor Garnitsky and Svetlana Uzhinskaya, as well as Anna Kraynyukova . And the evening and the entire past season were summed up with collective creativity. Under the guidance of the artist family Mikhail Danilov and Valentina Pepelyaeva, the guests independently created a new work of art - a large black heart, in which they were asked to display their feelings with strokes of bright colors.
By the way, the painting was created to the sound of unusual musical instruments – singing Tibetan bowls. Sound therapist Antonina Ivanenko was responsible for the accompaniment. And the resulting bright heart has now become a new art object of the Dialogue Culture and Art Center.
