On the night of July 6, Novorossiysk (Krasnodar Krai) was attacked by unmanned boats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Several times during the night, the siren was turned on in the city - the signal "Attention everyone", warning of a possible attack by boats, after which the city mayor Andrey Kravchenko announced the beginning of the attack.

The head of Novorossiysk called on local residents to observe safety measures. He addressed residents of the first coastline separately, noting that they should not go outside and recommending that they stay indoors without glass.

Later it became known that in Novorossiysk the embankment from Isaev Street to Suvorovskaya Street was closed to traffic. In addition, pedestrians were prohibited from walking along the embankment.

Kravchenko specified that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were repelling an attack, but did not provide data on the number of unmanned boats or the consequences of the attack. All services in the region were put on maximum alert.

Directions of attack by unmanned boats and drones on Russia

The Ukrainian resource DroneBomber published an infographic showing the direction of movement of unmanned boats to Russia. It follows from it that there were not many of them, but they were all moving towards Novorossiysk.

The infographic also showed the drones' routes. They mostly flew towards central Russia - the Voronezh, Oryol and Ryazan regions.

Attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on other regions of Russia

On the evening of July 5 and the night of July 6, reports of downed Ukrainian Armed Forces drones were received from several regions of the country – Smolensk , Belgorod and Tula regions.

One drone was shot down in each of the Smolensk and Tula regions.

In the Tula region, no one was hurt as a result of the attack, but minor damage to the roof of a private home was recorded.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces drones struck the Belgorod region three times - during each strike, vehicles came under fire. As a result, three people - drivers - were injured. Two of them were hospitalized, one sought medical help on his own.

The Leningrad Region has not been hit by drone strikes, but there has been a warning of a UAV attack. In this regard, the region's governor, Alexander Drozdenko, noted that the signal could be reduced from 4G to 2G.
