A moving truck burst into flames in Mersin

A fire broke out in a moving truck on the D-400 highway in the Yeşilovacık Neighborhood borders of the Silifke district of Mersin. The incident occurred in the evening hours of July 7.

According to the information received, the truck with the license plate 33, heading in the direction of Antalya, caught fire for an unknown reason. The driver, who noticed the fire, immediately pulled the vehicle to the side of the road and reported the situation to the authorities. In a short time, intense smoke and flames rose from the trailer of the truck.

Upon notification, Silifke Fire Department teams, along with teams from the Regional Forestry Directorate from the nearby forest area, were dispatched to the region. With the coordinated intervention of the teams, the fire was brought under control before it spread to the forest area.

A technical investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire. While there was no loss of life in the incident, there was extensive material damage to the truck.
