Inspection of sidewalks and marketplaces in Şişli

Şişli Municipality Police Department teams continue their inspections throughout the district to ensure pedestrian safety and ensure safe shopping for citizens. They implemented enforcement measures against sidewalk and road encroachments, a common complaint among citizens. Price tags and scales were checked in market areas, while licenses, labels, and expiration dates were meticulously inspected in markets and businesses.
Control of sidewalk occupationDuring inspections, items such as buoys, tables, chairs, and signs left on the roads and sidewalks were collected, and necessary warnings were issued to shopkeepers. Traffic police also conducted inspections on Abdi İpekçi Street in Nişantaşı, issuing fines to motorists who parked their motorcycles on the sidewalk.
PRICE TAGS AND WEIGHT CONTROL IN MARKET PLACESDuring inspections conducted in marketplaces, vendors were warned to place price tags prominently. To ensure safe shopping, vendors were asked to position their scales in visible locations.
On the other hand, thanks to the scales placed at the entrance of the market by the municipal police teams, citizens can also check the products they buy by weighing them themselves.
In the information provided by the municipality, it was learned that inspections against sidewalk encroachments and market places will continue to increase.
