Parliamentary committee to investigate

Kartalkaya Ski Resort Hotel Fire Investigation Commission President and AK Party Erzurum Deputy Selami Altınok announced that they will conduct inspections at the Grand Kartal Hotel, where the fire occurred, on Friday, February 28.

According to the news in AA, the commission met under the chairmanship of Altınok for the presentation of AFAD officials. In his speech here, Altınok said that they have been working for two weeks.

Stating that the commission will listen to AFAD officials, Altınok said that AFAD will provide information about the interventions after the fire.

Altınok stated that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism officials will make a presentation on February 26, and said, "We have made our preparations, we will go to Bolu, Kartalkaya with our delegation on Friday and conduct inspections at the hotel where this tragic incident took place."

Emphasizing that what happened was painful, Altınok noted that they will work on what needs to be done to prevent similar incidents from happening.

The commission then moved on to AFAD's presentation.
