An investigation has been launched in Türkiye against a Malaysian textile company.

The Ministry of Trade's Communiqué on Preventing Unfair Competition in Imports was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force. Within the scope of the Communiqué, a review investigation was launched against Malaysian-based Power Fabric SDN. BHD., as part of anti-dumping measures for imports of woven fabrics made of synthetic filament yarn.
The investigation was initiated following the company's application. A preliminary investigation determined that Power Fabric SDN. BHD. had no connections to exporters or manufacturers located in the country of export of the goods subject to the anti-dumping duty. It was also determined that the company did not export the goods subject to the anti-dumping duty to Türkiye during the investigation period and that its first export to Türkiye began in April of this year.
In light of these evaluations, the Unfair Competition in Imports Assessment Board decided to open a review investigation for the new exporter of the Malaysian-origin company in question.
