The search for the missing Russian swimmer in the Bosphorus continues for the sixth day.

It was determined that 29-year-old Russian swimmer Nikolai Svechnikov had not made it ashore during the 37th Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swimming Race, organized by the Turkish National Olympic Committee (TMOK) on Sunday, August 24. Search efforts for the missing swimmer began the same day. The search continues for Svechnikov, six days after his disappearance. A helicopter from the Coast Guard's Marmara and Straits Regional Command is providing air support for the search, while boats continue their work from the sea.
