President Erdoğan gave good news for the largest TCG in Anatolia

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements at the opening of TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan, held at the Istanbul Shipyard in Tuzla. Erdoğan announced that the TCG Anadolu, the navy's flagship and the world's first armed UAV ship, will open its doors to visitors. Erdoğan said, “Now, God willing, we are building a bigger version of this. We won't stop there. We will do what is right for us. The TCG Anadolu will feature unmanned aerial vehicles such as the Bayraktar TB2, TB3, and Kızılelma, as well as armored vehicles such as the Zaha, Vuran, and Kobra. Teknofest visitors will have the opportunity to see how far the Turkish maritime industry has come and what capabilities it possesses today.”
Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Presidential Defense Industries President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, T3 Foundation Board of Trustees President Selçuk Bayraktar, Demirören Holding Chairman Yıldırım Demirören, Meltem Demirören, Murat Oktay, Erdoğan Demirören, and Demirören Media TV Group President Murat Yancı also attended the TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland opening.
President Erdoğan welded the final module of the aircraft test ramp of the national aircraft carrier, which will be 285 meters long and 72 meters wide. He then visited the TCG Savarona with his wife Emine Erdoğan, daughters Sümeyye Erdoğan Bayraktar, and Selçuk Bayraktar.
In his speech at the program, Erdoğan said, “Those who want to see what faith and determination can achieve despite obstacles should look to the Turkish defense industry. Our defense industry, a source of pride for our country, is literally writing epics. While our friends praise our achievements, our enemies are anxiously trying to catch up with us. Let them try; they will run, but they will still not be able to catch us.” Erdoğan emphasized that defense industry initiatives also provide courage to oppressed peoples.
President Erdoğan stated, “On Sunday, during the Bosphorus parade, we showcased our navy's deterrent platforms, including our multipurpose amphibious ship TCG Anadolu, our Barbaros-class frigate TCG Oruç Reis, our first national frigate TCG İstanbul, our first national warship TCG Heybeliada, our amphibious landing ship TCG Sancaktar, the second platform of our stealth submarine TCG Hızır Reis, our Kılıç-class fast attack boat TCG Kalkan, and our mine-hunting vessel TCG Alanya. Furthermore, the TCG Savarona, a legacy of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was also present at the parade for the first time in many years. We restored this yacht to its original condition and returned it to the blue waters.”
President Erdoğan stated that Teknofest has increased young people's interest in technology, saying, "We organized Teknofest for the first time in 2018, and this year we are holding the 10th Teknofest in Turkey and the 12th in total. We've hosted approximately 11 million visitors in eight years. In 2025, we held two Teknofests, one in the TRNC and one in Istanbul. Nearly 1.2 million applications were received for a total of 63 competitions. The youth of Teknofest are coming at full speed, tearing down the dams one by one."
