Kılıçdaroğlu bids farewell to Altan Öymen

Former Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu published a condolence message on his social media account following the death of Altay Öymen, one of the party's former leaders.

Expressing his deep sorrow at Öymen's passing, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "I wish God's mercy upon our Chairman, who was a good statesman and also a good intellectual, and I offer my condolences to his grieving family, loved ones, and our party community."

Kılıçdaroğlu's message is as follows:

I learned with deep sorrow of the passing of Mr. Altan Öymen, who served as our party's Chairman. He was a good statesman and a keen intellectual who made significant contributions to our nation's freedom of information during his time as a journalist, to our state during his time as a minister, and to both the Republican People's Party and the political establishment during and after his time as Chairman. May God have mercy on our Chairman. I offer my condolences to his grieving family, loved ones, and the entire party community. May he rest in peace and may his soul rest in peace.
