Two hundred job opportunities ranging from large-scale retail to the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. On Thursday, October 9, Merlata Bloom Milano will host its eighth Recruiting Day, an event designed to bring together companies, employment agencies, third-sector organizations, and job-seeking candidates. The initiative is the result of a two-year collaboration between Merlata Bloom Milano , the shopping and leisure destination located in northwest Milan, and Afol Metropolitana, a leading public employment agency. The Recruiting Day, which will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the food court on the first floor of the shopping center (Via Daimler 61, Milan), will begin with a presentation of the companies and candidates eligible for the open positions. It will continue with the opportunity to meet with recruiters to present their resumes and attend interviews in an informal and inclusive setting.
The sectorsThere are job opportunities in the large-scale retail and transportation and logistics sectors, including sales assistants, store managers, food service workers, line drivers, and maintenance workers. There are also positions related to the 2026 Winter Olympics, such as events, reception, hospitality & food, facilities, transportation and logistics organization, media, junior HR, and ICT. For the latter, requirements include a high school diploma or an ITS certificate and English language proficiency. Previous experience in the role is preferred, but not required. Contracts will last between 2 and 4 months, depending on the role.
The companiesAmong the companies present on Thursday, October 9th, are ATM and several brands at Merlata Bloom Milano, including: Barazzoni, Billytacos, Calavera, CPM, East River, Esselunga, Flying Tiger, Kasanova, Libero Milano, Löwengrube, McDonald's, Miscusi, Mondadori, Nashi Argan Srl, Notorious Cinemas, RIC, Rituals Cosmetics Italy, Roadhouse, Signorvino, and Wagamama. Also present will be the employment agencies Adecco Italia Spa and Randstad Italia; and finally, the non-profit organization Fondazione Luigi Clerici. In two years, Merlata Bloom Milano has already hosted seven recruiting events and a job fair, attended by 127 companies and attracted interest from over 700 candidates, with 45% of applicants being female and 55% male. The age group that participated with the greatest interest was between 30 and 50 (49%), followed by those under 30 (32%), and finally those over 50 (19%).
