Friday, February 21, around 1:30 p.m. in Warsaw's Praga district. A dramatic accident occurred at the intersection of ul. 11 Listopada and Bródnowska. Tram line 4, heading towards Żerań, hit a woman crossing the tracks.
Tram traffic was stopped. Emergency services arrived at the scene and rushed to help the injured woman. The 42-year-old woman who was hit suffered very serious injuries, including head injuries. She was in serious condition, unconscious. She was taken to the hospital on Szaserów.
Unfortunately, after a dozen or so hours, the worst news came. The woman could not be saved. She died in hospital. On Saturday morning, the tragic news was delivered.

The City Reporter indicated that the woman was supposed to have entered the pedestrian crossing on a red light. According to the same reports, she was also supposed to have been talking on the phone. We asked the prosecutor's office about these reports.
