The president of the Union of Parishes of S. Julião de Palácios has passed away
Altino Pires, president of the Union of Parishes of São Julião de Palácios and Deilão, in the municipality of Bragança, passed away this Saturday, victim of illness.
The 49-year-old mayor was admitted to Bragança Hospital, where he ended up dying.
The information was provided by the parish union itself on its social media page.
“It is with great sadness that I inform you that our president, Altino Pires, has left us. He has gone to the arms of his Father. You will be remembered forever by everyone, Altino,” reads the post by Luísa Sá, treasurer of the board.
The funeral is scheduled for 5 pm this Sunday, at the church in Altino Pires' home village, São Julião de Palácios.
