A Communist Party deputy asked questions about the condition of sewer pipes in the city

The Krasnodar City Duma held another planning meeting, during which the problem of sewerage network accidents was considered. The main speaker was the general director of Krasnodar Vodokanal LLC Dmitry Pavlyuchenko.
Speaking to the deputies, the head noted that most of the city's sewer collectors have been in operation for several decades and are seriously worn out. In order to speed up the capital repair process, it is necessary to make changes to the Vodokanal investment program.
Pavlyuchenko placed special emphasis on the construction of the new sewer collector No. 20. This facility is being built within the framework of the regional state program "Development of housing and public utilities." According to the general director, the commissioning of this collector will significantly improve the situation with wastewater disposal in the northern, northeastern and northwestern districts of Krasnodar.
The report was followed by a discussion. The head of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation faction in the City Duma, Alexander Safronov, drew attention to regular accidents in the sewer networks of the new microdistricts of Krasnodar. In some places, according to him, breakthroughs and blockages occur almost daily.
In response, Pavlyuchenko explained that in Soviet times, when building large residential areas, such as the Yubileiny District, powerful collectors were designed, which made it possible to avoid serious problems with the sewerage system. In modern residential complexes, developers themselves lay pipes and install pumping stations, which often leads to blockages and accidents. As a result, residents are faced with unpleasant consequences, such as wastewater spills on roads and sidewalks.
Despite the current situation, Dmitry Pavlyuchenko expressed confidence that the development of the sewer collector system will significantly reduce the number of accidents and improve the communal infrastructure of Krasnodar.
