In the village of Kozhino, Vyshnevolotsky District, Tver Region, a woodpecker was photographed eating.

- The bird was desperately pecking at a pine cone fixed in a crack in the trunk of a non-fir ​​tree. Judging by the amount of waste material on the snow, this is a regular place for such actions. Someone regularly drags them here. Strange. Is it harder to fix a pine cone in a fir tree? - the author of the photos in the Vyshny Volochok group asked a rhetorical question.

He also expressed surprise at the appearance of the woodpecker. The bird turned out to be quite small, and also had no red mark on its head.
