School ranking: where the smartest children are taught according to the results of the 2025 Unified State Exam

Parents of future graduates are concerned about the main question: which school to send their child to so that he or she is successfully prepared for the Unified State Exam. Regional ministries of education report on the successes of 300-point students, honoring schools that "raised such smart children." At the same time, they modestly keep silent about the fact that there are significantly fewer such champions this year.

According to Rosobrnadzor, in 2025, only one Moscow school graduate was able to pass the Unified State Exam with 400 points. There are only 11 people in the country who managed to score 300 points in three subjects on the exam. For comparison: last year there were four times more of them!

The first and only graduate to score the maximum in all four subjects was Nadezhda Yashmolkina. She studied at the capital's school No. 1514. The gymnasium is the fifth best Moscow school.

Interestingly, last year the only 400-point scorer in the country was a graduate of the Moscow Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 1580 at Bauman Moscow State Technical University , although it only occupies seventh place in the ranking of the best capital schools.

An interesting situation has developed in the Northern capital. The only St. Petersburg graduate with 300 points on the Unified State Exam, Aleksandr Klosinsky, studied at a gymnasium that, based on the results of last year, was not even among the best, for example, in specialized mathematics. We are talking about Academic Gymnasium No. 56 named after M. B. Pildes , which is currently in second place in the ranking of the best schools in St. Petersburg. Apparently, the results of the Unified State Exam do not count.

Last year, the gymnasium took only 37th place in the city in terms of the proportion of students who received an A in basic mathematics . But in the rankings for specialized mathematics, at least 70 other St. Petersburg schools outperformed it. Gymnasium No. 56 did not make it into the top 70.

Surprisingly, the school is not in the ranking of the best in physics for last year, despite the fact that a teacher from this gymnasium won the title of “Teacher of the Year” at the All-Russian competition in 2024, and the educational institution itself is in second place among the best schools in the Northern capital.

The student himself said that he mastered the theoretical material, and then repeatedly solved the exam assignments and trial versions that the teachers offered - this is his success story.

Moving on. Yaroslavl . A student from K. Marx Secondary School No. 33 scored 300 points on the Unified State Exam. Until recently, this school was considered the best in the city, until two years ago, when Provincial College overtook it in the rankings. Elizaveta Bodyagina from this school became the only one in the region who managed to pass the Unified State Exam in specialized mathematics with 100 points. And the school has an in-depth study of this subject.

A graduate from Irkutsk, Aleksandr Sazonov, became the first student in the Angara region to score 300 points on the Unified State Exam in three subjects for the entire period of the exam. He studied at School No. 15. The educational institution is not among the top ten in the region, and yet its student managed to show the highest result.

The schoolboy himself admits that he started preparing for the Unified State Exam two years ago. Every day he studied for 7-8 hours only in specialized subjects. He studied with tutors and watched open webinars on the Internet, including solving NeoFamily assignments on biology and problems on "Biorobot".

Marina Martynova from Kaluga studied at school No. 3. As expected, this educational institution is not among the top ten in the city. The girl noted that such a high result is luck. She got assignments on the exam that she knew well. She prepared in an online school, and also attended courses at the local Ecological and Biological Center.

In Bashkiria, scoring 300 points on the Unified State Exam was compared to “setting an Olympic record.” At least, that’s what they think at Lyceum No. 153 , where Alexey Lobov studied. He scored the highest in computer science, physics, and specialized mathematics, and passed the Russian language with a 94. The school said that such a high result was their merit. Tutors did not help the boy. Lyceum No. 153 ranks first in the ranking of the best Ufa educational institutions.

Three Don graduates scored 300 points each on this year's Unified State Exam. The 2025 results are a record for the region. Last year, not a single student managed to break the 300-point mark in three subjects, and only 13 graduates scored 200 points each on the Unified State Exam.

This year's multi-scorers were Daniil Strizheus and Veronika Sukhovenko from the Rostov Lyceum KEO , as well as Kristina Kucherenko from the private gymnasium "Dar" , the government of the Rostov region reported. The lyceum traditionally occupies a leading place in the ranking of the best Rostov schools, but the private gymnasium is not in the top 20.

In Voronezh, a graduate who scored 300 points on the Unified State Exam studied at a school that is not even in the top 20 best in the city. The record result is solely her merit. Maria Tomarovskaya, a graduate of the 11th grade "I" from the Educational Center "Commonwealth", coped with all 100 points on the Unified State Exam in Russian, chemistry and biology. The girl prepared for the exams in three online schools at once: one for each subject. She began studying not in the fall, but in the summer after the tenth grade. Sometimes she studied for 12 hours a day.

Interestingly, last year a student from a school that is not among the top twenty in the city also became a multi-scorer in the region. Grigory Korneev, a graduate of MBO Secondary School No. 83, scored 300 points — in Russian, mathematics and computer science. Three more graduates received 200 points on the exam in two subjects: two from Lyceum No. 1 and one from Lyceum No. 7. In any case, these schools are among the top ten in the city.

What conclusion can be drawn from the analyzed data? School ratings are not a guarantee that you will pass the Unified State Exam with flying colors. Most regional educational institutions, from which the smartest children graduated, are not even in the top ten. Their results are solely the result of hard work and up to half a day spent solving problems. This is the real price of 300 points on the exam.
