BREAKING NEWS! VOLCANO ERUPT IN INDONESIA: ASHES SPREADING OVER VILLAGES!

According to the Indonesian Center for Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation, the volcano in the province's Eastern Flores region continues to erupt, the first of which occurred on June 18.
After the latest eruption at Lewotobi Laki-Laki Volcano at 01:05 local time, ash was spewed 18 kilometers into the air.
ASHES SPREAD THROUGHOUT THE VILLAGES
The scorching hot gas clouds formed during the eruption were directed down the slopes of the volcano . Ashes were widely spread over the villages around the volcano.
No casualties were reported from the volcanic event.
WHAT HAPPENED?
After the volcano's eruption on June 18, the alert status was raised to the highest level and the restricted area coverage was expanded to 7 kilometers.
"Lewotobi Laki-Laki", with an altitude of 1584 meters, is known in the region as the "twin volcano" with "Lewotobi Perempuan Mountain".
Indonesia, which lies in the "Pacific Ring of Fire" earthquake and volcano belt, has about 130 active volcanoes.
Nine people died and dozens were injured as a result of the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki in November 2024.
