US President Trump , in a post on his Truth Social account, made a statement regarding his recent disagreements with billionaire businessman Elon Musk .

Noting that Musk wanted to establish a third political party in the US despite never being successful, Trump argued that the system appeared to be "not designed for them".

Trump claimed that third parties are good at "creating complete and total destruction and chaos" and added that "we have had enough of this with radical left democrats who have lost their confidence and their minds".

Trump declared that Republicans had just passed "the largest bill of its kind in the history of our country" and were "a smooth-running machine" in that sense.

Trump noted that the bill "removes the ridiculous electric vehicle (EV) mandate that would force everyone to buy an electric vehicle in a short time," and therefore stated that the bill was "unfortunate" for Musk.

Stating that he opposed this from the beginning, Trump reiterated that there is no longer a requirement for electric vehicles, and said, "People can now buy whatever they want. Gasoline, hybrids (which are doing very well), or new technologies as they come along."

Trump noted the following:

"I've been campaigning on this for two years, and to be honest, when Elon gave me his full and unquestioning support, I asked him if he knew I was going to end the EV mandate. He knew that in every conversation I had and every conversation I had. He said he had no problem with it. I was very surprised. He wanted one of his close friends to run NASA . While I thought his friend was very good, I was surprised to learn that he was a blue-blooded Democrat who had never contributed to a Republican before. Elon probably was too. "It saddens me to watch Elon Musk completely 'derail' and essentially be a 'train wreck' over the last five weeks," Trump said, adding that his number one job is to "protect the American people."

Trump told reporters over the weekend that he found Musk's idea of ​​establishing a third party "absurd" and criticized the businessman's efforts in this direction.

In a post on his account on the X social media platform, Musk made a reference to the US Independence Day celebration on Friday, saying, "Independence Day is the perfect time to ask if you want independence from the two-party (some say one-party) system."

Musk shared the results of a survey he started on X with the question "Should we form the American Party?" and stated that two out of every three Americans answered "yes" to this question.
