Debate erupts in the case of HKP Chairman Nurullah Efe! Hearing postponed

The second hearing of the case filed against HKP Chairman Nurullah Efe, also on charges of "insulting the president" due to his defense in the case, was held at the Ankara 32nd Criminal Court of First Instance. Nurullah Efe, his lawyers, party members, and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's lawyer, Sami Kabadayı, attended the hearing.
The judge ruled to open Efe's SEGBİS recording to allow for his defense. In his defense, Efe claimed that the AK Party government was hostile to the Republic, stating, "We are defending the most just and legitimate cause in the world. Our struggle is for the salvation of all humanity, the full independence of our country, and a secular republic."
"ÖCALAN WILL REGULATE THESE"
Efe stated that the government is making efforts to implement the Greater Middle East Project (GOP), and said:
This government did everything they could while Iraq, Libya, and Syria were falling apart. Now it's Türkiye's turn. They will implement the Turkish leg of the Greater Middle East Project (GDP). Now they've placed themselves at Öcalan's disposal. The commission in Parliament is clearly the 'Greater Middle East Project' Commission. They're trying to disguise this as peace and brotherhood. They'll choose who will go to Öcalan's doorstep. Öcalan said, 'That commission will come here, or they'll go through hell.' They'll go to him without hesitation. Öcalan will control them. They're trying to maintain their power by sheltering in Öcalan, but they've reached the end of the road. Nothing can keep them standing. They will come here; they will appear before courts composed of independent and impartial prosecutors and judges who take their orders solely from the law and their conscience. We may not see it, but the youth will see it.
HE SHOWED THE ATATURK PHOTOGRAPH HE BRING WITH HIM
Showing the court the photograph of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk he had brought with him, Efe said, "We are the representatives of this Alpha Wolf. We are here on his behalf, we are fighting on his behalf. Unfortunately, the government has taken you captive, and you cannot do your duty. You are under its command. That is why I pity you. You are trying to punish us. We were not afraid when the September 12 fascist dictatorships tried us with the death penalty; are we supposed to be afraid of this?"
Efe claimed that President Erdoğan did not have a diploma, saying, "There is no legitimate President in Türkiye. All his signatures are null and void. Present an official and genuine diploma of Tayyip Erdoğan, and I will say, 'I accept any punishment you impose, without making any defense,' and walk away. Therefore, you are trying to judge me by claiming that I insulted someone who does not have a diploma."
A debate broke out
Efe stated that the map in the background of the meeting between US Ambassador to Turkey and Special Representative for Syria Tom Barrack and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) leader Mazlum Abdi contained a deliberate message, asking, "This is a message that you will give Hatay to us. Is there anyone complaining about the government?"
Meanwhile, as Efe criticized the meeting between President Erdoğan and US President Donald Trump, President Erdoğan's lawyer, Kabadayı, attempted to intervene. Efe, in turn, reacted by telling Kabadayı, "Don't interrupt."
During the argument, an unrobed person on the plaintiff's side banged on the table and attempted to throw a chair. Police entered the courtroom at this point. Due to the tension, the hearing was adjourned. Following the recess, the judge stated that the SEGBİS system was malfunctioning and adjourned the hearing until January 20, 2026.
Following the hearing, HKP Chairman Nurullah Efe made a statement in front of the Ankara Courthouse, saying, "Sooner or later, just like our nationalist ancestors, we will win the final battle. Together with their imperialist masters, we will inflict another crushing defeat on them. There is no despair or pessimism, my friends. We are the grandchildren of the Alpha Wolf Mustafa Kemal and his comrades-in-arms, and we continue their cause. Our sole aim is the complete independence of our country and the happiness of our people. Sooner or later, we will achieve this."
