Parliamentary question from CHP for journalist Hakan Tosun

The incident that claimed the life of journalist Hakan Tosun was brought to the attention of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM). CHP Deputy Chairman for Interior Affairs and İzmir MP Murat Bakan submitted a parliamentary question, requesting that Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya respond.
In his motion, the Minister highlighted the public's questions surrounding Tosun's death, asking, "Did Hakan Tosun have any complaints or concerns about his life before he was killed? If so, what measures were taken in this regard?" The motion also emphasized the need to clarify all aspects of the incident.
The 6 questions that Murat Bakan asked Ali Yerlikaya to answer are as follows:
"1- Who killed Hakan Tosun? What are the details of the ongoing police investigation?
2- Did Hakan Tosun have any complaints or concerns about his life safety before he was killed? If so, what measures were taken in this regard?
3- Has the incident been treated as a simple criminal case? Or are other connections and instigators of the crime being investigated?
4- How can it be explained that although Hakan Tosun's family reported him missing to the police, his family was not notified for 27 hours when Tosun was hospitalized?
5- A press worker who was the voice of those defending nature, life, and justice, documenting the people's resistance and struggles for the environment and the right to life across the country, was beaten to death by two men while walking down the street. How do you explain this?
6- No citizen feels safe walking on the street. What is your Ministry, which is responsible for public safety, doing about this?
