Our own domestically produced vehicles will begin passenger transport

Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced in a written statement that the National Suburban Train Sets, manufactured by the Turkish Rail System Vehicles Industry (TÜRASAŞ) for use in Gaziray, have ushered in a new era in urban rail transportation. Minister Uraloğlu announced that they have completed production of the second train set to be used in the Gaziray Project. Noting that testing of the National Suburban Train Sets is continuing successfully, Minister Uraloğlu stated, "Our domestically produced vehicles will now begin passenger transport in this major project, which will breathe new life into Gaziantep traffic. Following final inspections and certification processes, we will have our National Suburban Train Sets ready for their first passenger journeys."

'IT HAS A CAPACITY OF 1,000 PASSENGERS'

Uraloğlu, providing information about the train sets, said, "Each train set is designed with an operating speed of 90 kilometers per hour and aluminum vehicle bodies. Each set, consisting of four cars, two of which have driver's cabins, has a total passenger capacity of 1,000, 206 of which are seated."

Minister Uraloğlu also stated that there are two wheelchair sections in the vehicle, and that there are 32 high-security passenger doors and 42 information screens.

'IT ALSO DRAWS ATTENTION WITH ITS TECHNOLOGY'

Minister Uraloğlu also stated, "Each vehicle, positioned to eliminate blind spots, boasts a total of 16 interior and four exterior security cameras, along with electrical and electronically controlled equipment such as a sound system. This vehicle stands out not only for its comfort and safety, but also for its technologically advanced equipment. We've also made our suburban set, which we've produced to be compatible with other suburban lines, more efficient in its maintenance and repair processes."
