The era of exploitation in housing is ending! President Erdoğan announced: The era of cheap rents

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who attended the "AK Party Economic Affairs Directorate Training Program" in Ankara, announced in his speech that 500,000 new social housing units will be built.

Dubbed the "Housing Project of the Century," President Erdoğan announced that the constructed housing will be rented to residents at affordable prices. In his statement, President Erdoğan stated that priority will be given to families of martyrs, veterans, families with three children, and citizens with disabilities, thus preventing high rents.

Highlights from President Erdoğan's statements are as follows: " We are continuing to rapidly heal the wounds of the earthquake. To date, we have spent 3.6 trillion lira, or $90 billion, at current prices. Last month, we handed over the keys to our 304,000th disaster-affected residence in Malatya to our beneficiaries. By the end of 2025, we will have delivered a total of 453,000 independent units, God willing, restoring our earthquake-stricken region."

"WE ARE LAUNCHING THE ERA OF CHEAP RENTALS" We are launching a project to address the currently high rents and housing prices. From now on, the state will be responsible for planning the rent. In other words, instead of allowing citizens to come and rent and exploit them with high rents, we, as the state, will rent out these social housing units and, God willing, initiate the process of affordable rentals.
