A head-on collision between an IETT bus and a car

The accident occurred on Hadımköy Yolu Street. According to reports, a Toyota car with license plate 34 EVT 438 collided head-on with an İETT bus traveling from Deliklikaya to Arnavutköy for an as yet unknown reason. Due to the force of the collision, the driver of the car, İhsan Kayacan (65), was trapped inside the vehicle. Fire, paramedics, and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. Despite all efforts, Kayacan died at the scene, and his body was taken to the morgue of Arnavutköy State Hospital. Both the İETT bus and the car suffered heavy material damage in the accident. Hadımköy Yolu Street was closed to traffic for a long time after the accident. A kilometer-long queue of vehicles formed on the road. Police teams cordoned off the accident area and conducted an investigation.

The driver of the IETT bus was taken to the police station for questioning, and the vehicles involved in the accident were towed to the parking lot. A full-scale investigation has been launched into the incident.
