Archie Brown: I will fight until the last drop of my blood

Continuing preparations for the new season in Portugal, Fenerbahçe's newest addition, Archie Brown, spoke to club television about the transfer process, his first days at Fenerbahçe, manager Jose Mourinho, his teammates, and the fans.
Following the transfer process, Archie Brown reiterated his statement, "I feel at home," saying, "Thank you for your kind wishes. I actually mentioned it in my first interview; I want to reiterate and emphasize that I feel at home. From the moment I arrived, I received a very warm and welcoming welcome. Our fans did so warmly. I was equally warmly welcomed by the club, the social media team, and so on. I've had a positive feeling about this place since day one, because I can feel the love. I have to be honest. Of course, after arriving here, I've also had the opportunity to see just how big the club is, how big of a community it is. I've seen how dynamic and beautiful the city is. Likewise, I can see how passionate and dedicated our fans are to their team. In short, if we were to evaluate our first days, I'd say it was wonderful."
'I AM PERSON WHO ENJOYS PLAYING IN HIGHLY COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENTS DUE TO MY CHARACTER'Brown, who noted that he realized how much Fenerbahçe wanted him after his meetings with President Ali Koç and Director of Football Devin Özek, and that this was a key factor in his transfer to the Yellow-Navy Blues, said, “If I go back to the early days of my career, it was a very long journey, and I had the opportunity to develop myself throughout this process. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to improve my own performance. I've played at three different clubs, and now I'm at Fenerbahçe. After I arrived here, it's worth mentioning, because it's no secret anymore, there was interest in me from other teams as well. Speaking about the first stage of the transfer process, I had a meeting with Devin Özek. He told me how big the club is. After my conversation with him, I realized even more how much Fenerbahçe wants me. He talked about how our fans will welcome me, the interest they'll show, and the passion they've shown. He made very clear statements and clear statements about the club's plans for me. This had a huge impact on my coming here. I can say the following about our President: The following conversation took place: He made me feel like a very special environment had been created, specifically for this season, and he talked about the high expectations. As a footballer, by nature, I enjoy playing in a highly competitive environment. I want to feel this, and I'm a player who always strives to give my best in this environment. When under pressure, I strive to deliver my best on the pitch to overcome it, and even under that pressure, I'm a player who strives to deliver my best on the pitch. Ultimately, I had wonderful conversations with both our President, Mr. Ali Koç, and Mr. Devin Özek, and as a result, I felt how much I was wanted by this club. These were the key points for me in coming to Fenerbahçe," he said.
'I WANT TO BRING MY FAMILY HERE'When asked about the lahmacun detail in the transfer announcement, the English player said, "I haven't had the opportunity to try it yet. I didn't have the chance to eat it at the time. I was in Istanbul for a few days, then we came to Portugal for a training camp. Of course, my goal is to settle here and bring my family here when we get to Istanbul. When we get back to Istanbul, I want to try it when I get the chance."
'I WORK WITH ONE OF THE BEST MANAGERS IN THE WORLD, JOSE MOURINHO'The English footballer, noting that manager Jose Mourinho is very open to communication, said, “I can say that our communication has been very good so far. He's very kind and open to conversation. He's very communicative. You can easily connect with him whenever you want. We had good conversations when I first arrived. We continue to communicate in the same way. Like him, I'm a very demanding person, someone who demands a lot from myself. I'm never a player who complains or complains. On the contrary, I'm a player who constantly wants to improve. I've always been of this mindset. I'm working with one of the best managers in the world, Jose Mourinho, on improving myself. Our hope is that we can achieve great success together.”
"EVERYONE HAS HELPED ME A LOT DURING THE ADAPTATION PROCESS."Stating that he was received very well by his teammates, Brown continued:
"I have great thoughts. My teammates are helping me adapt here a lot. They've made my job a lot easier. The team has both young and experienced players. They're very helpful with my adaptation. They're always there to support me when I have any problems. As I said, I've been very well-received by them. Almost everyone on the team speaks English. This is beneficial for me. My teammates and I have good communication. I want to try again. I've been well-received. This has made my job easier."
'MY BASIC POSITION IS LEFT BACK'Archie Brown, who stated that he can play in a variety of positions but feels most comfortable at left-back, said, “I’m comfortable in all three (left-back, left-center, and left-midfield), but I’d say left-back is the most comfortable position for me. Again, I can play in all three positions and I’m comfortable in all three. Honestly, I feel comfortable in all of them. I’ve played in different positions, but as I mentioned, I’m more of a left-back player. I see myself more as a left-back. In that sense, I enjoy being able to contribute offensively. I try to contribute to that. Similarly, I know I need to be strong defensively. I know the system we’re playing in and what we need to do. I need to bring my own style to the table. I need to be dynamic in the position I play, and of course, I need to be strong and powerful defensively. We’ll continue to work on that, but personally, my primary position is left-back.”
"I WILL FIGHT UNTIL THE LAST DROP OF MY BLOOD"The English left-back, who stated that he would fight until the end on the field and asked the yellow-dark blue fans to support him, concluded his words as follows:
We will desperately need their support and the creation of a positive atmosphere. The season is long. There will be ups and downs. I hope our ups and downs will be much longer. That's what we want. They can expect this from me: I will be a dynamic player who gives my best for my team whenever I'm on the field. I will fight and compete until the last drop of my blood. From the moment I arrived here, I've been warmly welcomed by our fans. My prayer is that, together with our fans, we will have a successful season and win championships.
