On Wednesday, there were 118 skirmishes on the Ukrainian front.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports one missile attack, 58 airstrikes, 1,674 drone attacks and 3,820 artillery shelling of Ukrainian positions and built-up areas that allegedly occurred on Wednesday.

The Azov Corps reports losses inflicted on the Russians

The 1st National Guard Corps of Ukraine "Azov" reported the elimination of 151 Russian soldiers over the past two days. Furthermore, over 70 Russians were reportedly wounded in fighting with National Guard troops based on the "Azov" battalion.

Donetsk Oblast Governor Vadym Filashkin announced that Russian troops are currently located about a kilometer from Pokrovsk, where 1,327 civilians remain. "The situation there is the most difficult. But the Ukrainian Defense Forces are doing everything possible to stop the occupiers," Filashkin emphasized. The Donetsk Oblast Governor noted that evacuation from Pokrovsk is currently impossible without army support. "The enemy is attacking all exit routes (...). Those who wish to leave (the city) can only do so with the support of the Ukrainian Defense Forces," he added.

A Ukrainian court sentenced a former Russian minister to 15 years in prison.

A court in Vinnytsia sentenced Maksim Topilin, a member of the Russian State Duma and former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, to 15 years in prison and property confiscation for actions against Ukraine's territorial integrity. Topilin was convicted of supporting the ratification of treaties "on friendship, cooperation, and bilateral assistance" concluded between the Russian Federation and the self-proclaimed, separatist, internationally unrecognized republics established in Ukraine's Donbas region. The verdict is not final.

The airports in Volgograd and Saratov were closed for several hours at night.

For safety reasons, airports have suspended check-in and check-out of flights.

Oil spill and fire at the Volgograd refinery after Ukrainian drone attack

Last night, Ukrainian drones attacked the Volgograd Oil Refinery, owned by Lukoil. As a result of the attack, an oil spill occurred and caught fire at the refinery. Volgograd Oblast Governor Andrei Bocharov assured that no one was injured in the attack. Firefighting efforts are underway at the refinery.
